Pet and Feed the Budgies
Only at the Budgie Buddies aviary at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo can you enjoy a walk-in aviary and be surrounded by hundreds of friendly little birds called “budgies”. These tiny, adorable birds are known for their gentle and sociable nature, making them popular amongst kids and adults alike. Participants at the Budgie Buddies aviary will receive a cup of bird food. As you walk through the aviary, you can feed and pet the budgies while you learn about them! We highly recommend the Budgie Buddies aviary to all animal-lovers, especially bird-lovers!
Ride the Mountaineer Sky Ride
The Mountaineer Sky Ride at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a chair lift ride that lifts you high above the exhibits and gives you a bird’s eye view of the entire zoo. While riding the Mountaineer Sky Ride, you’ll be able to admire the whole zoo without ever having to worry about your legs getting tired! Just kick back, bring a snack, and admire the animals and the Colorado scenery while riding in a comfortable chair lift seat. We definitely recommend the Mountaineer Sky Ride to kids and their families. You’ll be able to enjoy some peace and serenity, and the kiddos won’t be complaining about sore feet!
